Oasis Announces Reunion Tour After 15 Years of Brotherly Feud.

In the realm of rock bands least likely to reconcile, the Britpop group Oasis has historically stood out.
During the 1990s peak, Oasis, fronted by the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, embodied the soaring essence of Britpop with anthemic hits such as “Wonderwall,” “Live Forever,” and “Champagne Supernova” capable of inducing mass singalongs in any pub or arena.

In 1994, the group's debut album, "Definitely Maybe," ascended to the summit of the British pop chart, serving as a defining moment for a new era of English rock.  Regrettably, the band's trajectory was marred by the interpersonal conflicts—both verbal and physical—between the Gallagher brothers.

In 1995, a 14-minute unauthorized CD surfaced, capturing Noel and Liam engaged in a fervent and occasionally incomprehensible dispute during an interview with a journalist.  The band disbanded in 2009, with Noel citing, "I simply could not continue working with Liam any longer." Since then, the Gallaghers have persisted in publicly exchanging insults.

However, indications suggest that they have sufficiently reconciled to announce a comeback tour scheduled for summer 2025, featuring performances across Britain and Ireland, including at least four nights at Wembley Stadium, London. The tour was unveiled on the band's website, with a statement hinting at future dates in "other continents outside of Europe" in the following year.  "The long-awaited moment has arrived," the statement proclaimed. "Come witness."

The reveal did not come as a surprise. Oasis had teased Tuesday's date over the weekend on their website and social media channels, following speculations on social media and extensive coverage by anonymous "industry insiders" in the British media regarding an impending tour announcement. Liam Gallagher himself fueled these rumors, responding to a concerned fan by saying, "You are scared. How do you think I feel?" Anticipation for the band's repertoire surged as a result.  Ticket sales for the shows will commence on August 31st.
