Matt Goss New Theatre Show Oxford Struggles To Sell 400 Tickets.

With Tickets Selling For Less Than £3 As No Interest from Fans

Matt Goss fails to attract fans to his latest show at the New Theatre Oxford this evening.
The ex Bros frontman has struggled to sell tickets for his UK tour since releasing tickets back in December 2022.

So I question why the singer was struggling to sell seats for his Vegas Style show.
I did manage to obtain two tickets for tonight performance for just £3 each from a seat filler site.

Before attending the show I contacted ATG tickets as their website showed hundreds of available seats. A representative for ATG tickets emailed me explaining that the show had struggle sell tickets with the promotors asking the theatre to withdraw all seating from the balcony area.

The show still had around 1.475 tickets available  45 minutes prior to the show starting with just over 400 tickets being sold over 150 of those coming from seat filler sites according to ATG.

Seat filler site are website where consumer can purchase tickets for show's that struggle to sell and can be purchased for around £10 and under.

Having seen Matt Goss whilst he was residing in Vegas at the Gossy room, I expected the performance to be very similar and I would be right to think that.

Matt came on stage with a few fans applauding , the theatre sounded very echoey due to so many empty seats.
Matt jumped into song but continues to struggles with his performances and his somewhat a one dimensional artist.

Matt tries to hard and take himself to seriously whilst on stage and as he attempts to cover the old classic, he performance on the night was no better than that of a wedding singer.

In fact I've heard better from unknown karaoke performances in my local pub and Tiktok stars.
However he did seem to please the older crowd of 60 years and older of whom I suspect were fans from the BROS days.

The show lasted around 2 hours but to be honest after 1 hour I would called it at day as the crowd did not seem that convinced of his performances.

Matt will always have his core fans base who will never accept that he is now past his prime and his choice of music is from a by gone era and should be left in Vegas.

If  Matt want success he needs to go back to Bros and try and make amends with brother Luke.

  2. Empty venue, and the concert sounded dreadful. Matt came on stage and you could see he was disappointed that the show had not sold out. We got our tickets for £3 from seat filler site.
