Boy George signs up for I'm A Celebrity after landing the show's biggest ever paycheck

Boy George is heading to Australia for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get me Out of Here! in the show’s biggest signing ever.

The Culture Club legend, 61, will be mingling with other stars in the Aussie rainforest after reportedly scooping $1million (£879,000) to take part. 

ITV spokesman said  ‘It’s beyond exciting that we’ve secured Boy George, ‘It’s been a long time since we had a huge global star film the show and he will no doubt draw viewers.’ 

 Boy George is still  hugely popular in Australia and with the show leaving Wales and heading back down under, he’s the perfect addition to the team.

  I’m A Celebrity is returning to Australia for the first time in three years following the pandemic, with filming kicking off in November.  The huge $1million paycheck is the biggest in the show’s 20 year history. 

ITV are hoping that Boy George will draw in the viewers as the show lost 5 million since 2019.
