Miley Cyrus has unveiled her empowering new single, "End of the World." The 32-year-old pop star released this vibrant track, part of her eagerly awaited album "Something Beautiful," in the early hours of Friday, April 4, 2025.

Accompanied by a dazzling 70s dance-inspired music video, this release embodies hope and transformation.  On her Instagram, Miley shared a captivating snippet of the video, in which she shines in a large room illuminated by a wall of lights and a dynamic drum kit.

The post reads: "Miley Cyrus unveils 'End of the World,' the first official single off her highly anticipated album, 'Something Beautiful,' out May 30 via Columbia Records. The new single, 'End of the World,' is out now." This track reinforces the immersive, operatic approach that defines her upcoming album, guiding listeners on a meaningful journey.  Miley continues to inspire fans with stunning, fashion-forward visuals reflecting her creative vision for "Something Beautiful."

"End of the World" propels the momentum toward a hypnotic pop opera, featuring uplifting production and heartfelt lyrics. Before evolving into a disco dreamscape, Miley showcased the track as a poignant piano ballad during an intimate performance at the Chateau Marmont in March 2024. Collaborating with Shawn Everett, Michael Pollack, Jonathan Rado, Molly Rankin, and Alec O’Hanley from the indie band Alvvays, she crafted this empowering anthem.  "End of the World" marks the third release from "Something Beautiful," following the recently launched "Prelude" and the title track.

This album will feature 13 new songs, each paired with visuals that celebrate its unique essence as a "one-of-a-kind pop opera." After sharing the title track, Miley hinted that this album represents "another bold artistic evolution" in her journey.  A statement on her Instagram reflects this vision:

"Miley’s second song and video release, 'Something Beautiful,' the title track off the forthcoming album, explores her deep connection to fashion, showcasing an original custom design by Casey Cadwallader for the House of Mugler in the visual. This era marks another bold artistic evolution for Miley, blending music and film into an immersive experience. 'Something Beautiful' is now available on all streaming platforms."

"Something Beautiful," co-executive produced with Shawn Everett, will be Miley's next LP, following the inspiring release of "Endless Summer Vacation" in 2023. The "Flowers" hitmaker has shared that the upcoming album draws inspiration from Pink Floyd’s "The Wall," describing it as a "healing" record. She expressed her vision to Harper's Bazaar: "My idea was to make 'The Wall,' but with a better wardrobe, more glamor, and filled with pop culture."
