Disastrous Tickets Sales for 80's Singer Matt Goss Leeds Show

Disastrous Tickets Sales for  80's Singer Matt Goss Leeds Show

Freelance Journalist Tim White 28th April 2024

Singer Matt Goss took the stage in Leeds for the final night of his lackluster "Hit and More" tour, which has been marred by disappointing ticket sales and uninspired performances.
This tour starkly highlights the ongoing difficulties he faces in appealing to an audience.

The ticket sales for his 2025 shows have been so abysmal that Goss had no choice but to cancel five performances and reduce seating across all venues due to shockingly low attendance.

Despite his attempts to stir excitement, the enthusiasm for this tour has noticeably faded.  Tonight, he is set to perform at the Leeds Grand Theatre, a venue that holds 1,550 people. Unfortunately, only 576 tickets have been sold, with a staggering 974 tickets withdrawn from sale.

The Colored Dots are unsold tickets

The tour has garnered the unfortunate title of "the worst tour of 2025," based on ticket sales from the 15-date lineup.
In a last-ditch effort, Goss has resorted to social media, pleading with fans to purchase multiple tickets to fill the vacant seats.
While Goss seems to envision himself as a global superstar, many now view him as a fading cabaret act.

His detachment from reality is evident in this misguided perception of grandeur.  Many fans who paid full price for tickets are understandably frustrated and angry, especially when others have snagged tickets for as little as five pounds.

Tonight's performance has been criticized for its lack of sophistication, with many feeling it is better suited for a local pub rather than a prestigious theatre.
It may be time for Matt Goss to reevaluate his approach and confront the growing divide between himself and his once-loyal audience+.

  1. One of the worst shows I've attended in years. The singing and production of the event was poor.

  2. Leeds was disaster we didn't get our lanyards which we paid for as part of the meet and greet. His performance was mediocre. Don't think I go to another show.😔😔😔😔

  3. The show was satisfactory, nothing special The meet and greet was the usual disorganized affair, and the venue was really empty. I think Matt needs to book really small venues like the Gossy room he had in Vegas which held just 150 people, even then he only did two 90 minutes shows a week.
