Greater Manchester  Indie Pop band The Lottery Winners have triumphantly achieved another milestone as their album *KOKO (Keep On Keeping On)* becomes their second Official Number 1 album.

The  band from Leigh—Thom Rylance, Robert Lally, Katie Lloyd, and Joe Singleton—now holds the biggest LP in the country this week, matching the chart-topping success of their 2023 record *Anxiety Replacement Therapy*.
Previously, the band made waves on the Official Albums Chart with their self-titled debut in 2020, peaking at Number 23, followed by *Sounds Of Isolation* (61) and *Something To Leave The House For* (11) in 2021.

The Official Charts Company honored The Lottery Winners with their Official Number 1 Award at their KOKO Shop, a vibrant pop-up store located in Leigh’s Spinners Mill complex in Greater Manchester.
Partnering with independent UK record stores Pie & Vinyl from Southsea and Wax and Beans from Bury, The Lottery Winners’ KOKO Shop created a dynamic retail and performance space throughout the album's release week, enriching their campaign with experience and community spirit. Remarkably, over 85% of *KOKO*'s first-week sales came from physical copies, a testament to the power of connection and passion.

In their celebration with the Official Charts, The Lottery Winners expressed heartfelt gratitude: "KOKO is the UK’s Official Number 1 album! It’s been a lot of hard work, but this makes it all worthwhile. It’s such a whirlwind of emotions. We’re grateful to everyone for supporting us and the album. If you could go back in time and tell our 12-year-old selves that we’d have two Number 1 albums, it would be incredible.

We’re officially a big deal! This is for grassroots music. This is for the working class. This is for Leigh. This is for anyone with a dream—go out there and make it happen!"  Extending his congratulations, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, shared his admiration: "I've supported The Lottery Winners since their early days playing pubs and clubs around Leigh, and the whole town will feel proud of them today.

Achieving a second Number 1 album is genuinely special. They’re among the hardest-working bands in the industry, and their success is well-deserved."  *KOKO* makes an impressive debut at the top of both the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart, asserting its place as the most popular album in independent record shops across the UK this week.

Sabrina Carpenter’s previous Number 1 album *Short N’ Sweet* remains steady at Number 2, while Scottish indie-pop icons Deacon Blue have reached Number 3 with their 11th studio album, *The Great Western Road*.

This marks their seventh UK Top 10 album, with Ricky Ross of Deacon Blue sharing, "We’re proud of this album and grateful to everyone who supported it this week. We can’t wait for you to experience the songs on the road next week and again later this year."  Selena Gomez and benny blanco’s impactful collaboration album, *I Said I Love You First*, debuts at Number 4, becoming Selena’s second UK Top 10 album after 2020’s *Rare* (Number 2) and the first for renowned producer benny blanco, acclaimed for his work on Katy Perry’s *Teenage Dream*.

Although Playboi Carti’s former Number 1 record *MUSIC* steps down from the top spot, the acclaimed rapper maintains a presence in the Top 10 with the release of a deluxe edition, *SORRY FOR DA WAIT*, now at Number 7.  The Horrors’ long-anticipated return with *Night Life*, their first album in eight years, enters the chart at Number 16, marking another success for the Southend-formed group. Lastly, Alex Warren sees his 2024 release, *You’ll Be Alright Kid (Chapter 1)*, soar into the Top 40 for the first time, rising 11 places to Number 30
