Miley Cyrus “explores her deep connection to fashion” on explosive single ‘Something Beautiful

Global superstar Miley Cyrus has made a powerful statement with the release of her explosive new single, "Something Beautiful," the title track from her eagerly anticipated upcoming album.  

The song introduces a captivating slow R&B melody, with Cyrus delivering poignant lyrics: “Tell me somethin’ beautiful, yeah, tonight / Until your lips turn blue.” As the track progresses, it erupts into an electrifying chorus, featuring bold lines like, “Boy, I’m losin’ my breath, yes / Boy, you’re markin’ up my necklace / Boy, I’m losin’ my breath / I’m undressin’, confessin’ that I’m so obsessed, yes.” 

This dynamic shift transforms the sound from soft and contemplative to an empowering rock anthem.   The accompanying music video, directed by Cyrus alongside Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, is both visually striking and emotionally charged. Dressed in a dramatic fluffy black coat, Cyrus enters a darkened room to perform. As she sheds the coat to reveal a stunning black flowing cut-out dress, she commands the stage with a live band, amidst a breathtaking display of lights and sparks, as a powerful windstorm swirls around during the explosive chorus.

"Something Beautiful" is the second track unveiled today, March 31, heralding the release of her daring new album. Earlier, she premiered the dramatic and thought-provoking "Prelude."  Set for release on May 30 via Columbia Records, this highly anticipated album promises to showcase Cyrus’s creative vision. Cyrus is taking the helm as executive producer, teaming up with Shawn Everett, known for his collaboration with artists like Kacey Musgraves and Alabama Shakes, ensuring a compelling and groundbreaking musical journey
