800 Unsold Tickets For Matt Goss Newcastle Hit and More Flop show.

Former Bros frontman Matt Goss is set to perform at the Tyne Theatre Opera House this evening, presenting his "Hits and More" show to an audience of just under 300 attendees. Despite the anticipation surrounding the event, ticket sales have not met expectations, leading promoters to withdraw around 800 tickets from sale due to limited demand.
The Tyne Theatre Opera House, which has a capacity of 1,100, will host tonight's performance with only a quarter of its seats filled, resulting in some areas being closed off. This tour appears to reflect the challenges faced during his earlier 2023 "Matt Goss Experience Tour," which struggled to attract interest from his dedicated fanbase.
After a cancelled show in Plymouth and disappointing crowds in Bristol, Blackpool, and Sheffield, tonight’s performance may highlight ongoing trends in audience engagement. According to insiders from the venue and Ticketmaster, access will be limited, with entire sections—including the Gallery, Grand Circle and Upper Circle—remaining closed, alongside numerous unsold tickets in the stalls.
While Goss's website promotes this evening's show as a "show to remember," the nostalgic appeal of his hits like "I Owe You Nothing" and "When Will I Be Famous?" has not translated into strong ticket sales.
At 56, Goss is currently navigating the landscape of the music industry and has recently partnered with a boutique record label, "So Let’s Talk."
This label focuses on supporting artists who may not have secured contracts with larger labels, though it has faced some scrutiny regarding its claims of success with emerging talents, including East 17, which has had a challenging journey since the departure of some original members.
As Matt Goss prepares to take the stage in front of a lackluster audience, it raises important questions about his current position in the industry and the evolving relationship between his past successes and present realities.
This situation reflects a pivotal moment for him, suggesting he is exploring various avenues to maintain his visibility in the public eye. We reached out to the "So Let’s Talk" record label and Matt Goss regarding their claims of 10 million plays for his latest single, but both parties were not available for comment
We walked out of the venue as the show was just so bad. The theatre was empty it was embarrassing. Matt Goss should just give up .
ReplyDeleteTerrible performance from Gossy this evening. The music set list was not my cup of tea. The theatre had loads of empty rows with all tiers closed off . I can say I was not impressed 😡😡😡😡😡.
ReplyDeleteI do love this online magazine, they really do tell the truth about Matt Goss and disprove his narcissistic lies.
ReplyDeleteMe and friend walked out after 20 minutes as it was such a poor performance and went to the pub instead.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteMatt can no longer sing the bros classic. He can't do the high notes and the song now sound shocking and poor version of those amazing songs. The show was somewhat cheap in production and the venue was empty with only couple hundred people there.
