3000 unsold Tickets for Matt Goss Wolverhampton Show

3000 Unsold Tickets for Matt Goss Wolverhampton Show

Editor Stephen Hill 27th March 2025

Pop singer Matt Goss encountered even more challenges in attracting fans to his Wolverhampton show last night, resulting in approximately 3,000 unsold tickets.

While the opportunity to perform live is a cherished aspiration for many artists, it appears that Goss's efforts to generate interest in his shows have faced some obstacles.

Goss's "Hits and More" tour has had a disastrous  turnout so far, with seven performances held across a number of cities, including Bristol, Blackpool, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Middlesbrough, Birmingham, Nottingham, and most recently, Wolverhampton. Despite ticket prices starting as low as Β£5, the total number of tickets sold across these eight shows is around 3,110. Additionally, over 11,463 tickets had to be withdrawn from sale due to a lack of demand.

At last night’s event, Goss performed for approximately 400 attendees, many of whom went to previous shows but were enticed by the appealing ticket prices. Although the venue for the show, Wolverhampton University Hall, has a capacity of 3,404, the expected turnout fell short, leaving a significant number of tickets unsold.  The venue closed of section including
Balcony A,  Both Circle Side Standing areas,  Circle A, B,C,D,E Areas, Balcony B and C,
Stalls C. D, F, G H E.

In an  desperate effort to boost attendance, promoters introduced seat-filling services and offered a special deal of two tickets for just Β£15.

While this initiative attracted some enthusiastic fans, the response overall has been mixed. Several attendees who had previously enjoyed earlier shows took advantage of the offer, viewing it as a compelling opportunity to experience live music at a cheap  price.

As the performance progressed, feedback varied; while small number of devoted fans shared their enjoyment, others expressed concerns about the atmosphere and engagement of the show and spent most of the evening at the bar enjoying there drinks and chatting.

We reached out to the Hall, which verified the lower-than-anticipated ticket sales for the event.

  2. I Managed to get front row seats, not been to Matt show since the Hilton years ago. Matt now beginning to look his age and you can tell his had some work done on his face and loads of Botox. Matt came on stage did his usual talk about himself and make over hyped false claims. He started the show with rework of "I Owe you nothing" but he voice is now not good. The venue was nice but extremely empty. People who attended talked to each other and not really interested in the performance. Very amateur production. Not worth the Β£7.50 I paid for the ticket.

The venue was empty as expected, the show was just another rework of his tired Vegas shows. Why he did so many covers version of songs that he never released amused me and my friend. This is usual of Matt over hype never deliver. The Merchandise stand was dreadful two t-shirt designs hung up and well over priced.
