1,756 Unsold Tickets for Matt Goss Birmingham show Flop.

Singer Matt Goss took the stage in Birmingham this evening as part of his "Hits and More" tour, but the outcome was far from favorable. Known for classics like "When Will I Be Famous?", "Drop the Boy," Cat Among The Pigeons and "Too Much," Goss found himself performing to a mere 506 fans at the Birmingham Symphony Hall—with an alarming 1,756 tickets were left unsold.

Upon arrival, fans were met by the Symphony Hall staff, who announced that, due to the overwhelming number of empty seats, attendees could choose any available spot in the stalls since the Grand Tier, Upper Circle, and Circle sections had been closed.
This led to discontent among fans, who were frustrated that some individuals, having paid only £5 for their tickets, were able to occupy better seats closer to the stage, while others had paid full price.
Many concertgoers expressed their disappointment with the show, feeling it didn’t justify the ticket prices. Goss struggled to meet expectations, missing key high notes that would resonate with his audience.

Despite concert promoters' efforts to reignite interest in his tour, recent performances in cities such as Bristol, Blackpool, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Middlesbrough have encountered similar dismal turnout rates.

In an attempt to win back fans, Goss’s team slashed ticket prices to just £5 through Seat Filler, but feedback from previous shows has been overwhelmingly negative. Attendees have voiced their dissatisfaction, criticizing the lack of professionalism in the production quality, poor sound, and Goss's inability to deliver a captivating performance.

Furthermore, complaints about inadequate merchandise have fueled conversations on social media, amplifying the growing discontent.  The burning question remains: When will Matt Goss reclaim his former glory? Unfortunately, the prospects appear dim. While contemporaries like Gary Barlow, Will Young, Jason Donovan, and the band Five are enjoying sold-out shows and experiencing career comebacks, it’s evident that Goss is struggling to reconnect with his once-passionate fan base.
