Former Bros frontman Matt Goss is set to take the stage at the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow this evening, presenting his "Hits and More" show to an audience of just under 380 attendees.
However, despite the usually over hype  typically surrounding his performances, Goss has resorted to imploring fans to purchase multiple tickets and attend additional shows.

Following a canceled performance in Plymouth and disappointing turnouts in cities such as Bristol, Blackpool, Sheffield, and Newcastle, ticket sales for the last four shows have fallen far below expectations. Goss has managed to sell only 1,465 tickets, while a staggering 3,206 have been withdrawn from sale.

The Green and Yellow Circles are unsold seats

Tonight marks the fifth stop on his UK tour, and once again, it appears that promoters are struggling to fill seats, leaving fans hesitant to commit. The Pavilion Theatre boasts a capacity of 1,449, yet this evening's performance is expected to see the singer perform before an audience of fewer than 380 even with tickets being reduced to just £5.00.

In a bid to manage the situation, promoters have instructed the theatre to close the balcony and circle sections, leaving only the stalls open for ticket sales.
With only a quarter of the seats expected to be filled, many fans are left questioning why Goss is proceeding with the tour.

His website touts tonight's show as a "memorable experience," yet the nostalgic allure of his hits, like "I Owe You Nothing" and "When Will I Be Famous?" has not translated into robust ticket sales.
Disillusioned fans are also voicing their frustrations on social media, criticizing the production quality, the near-empty venues, and a setlist that fails to encapsulate the breadth of his career.

One devoted fan remarked that Goss's rendition of the Bros classic "Are You Mine?" was subpar, likening his performance to that of an amateur due to his struggles with hitting the high notes.
Moreover, complaints have emerged about the merchandise, which fans have deemed overpriced and poorly crafted, rife with spelling errors. Many feel ignored as Goss and his team have not addressed their grievances.

The current situation calls into question Goss's ability to connect with his audience, and it highlights the urgent need for a renewed focus on quality and fan engagement

  1. As an MG fan all I can tell you is the show was awful and the merchandise cheap and tacky.
