Oasis finally announce huge anniversary plans after teasing fans.

Manchester Rock / Indie band Oasis has confirmed a new album and a 30th Anniversary Edition of Definitely Maybe, which will include previously unheard tracks.  The band's fans, especially those of Noel and Liam Gallagher, will be thrilled with this news. However, many are still hoping for a reunion between the two brothers.

The 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Definitely Maybe will feature tracks from the original recording session at Monnow Valley Studios, as well as outtakes from the album recorded at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall. These tracks have been newly mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho for the first time.

The album will also include an unreleased demo version of Sad Song, featuring Liam Gallagher’s vocals, in addition to new artwork by the original designer Brian Cannon and sleeve photographer Michael Spencer Jones.
The package will also contain new sleeve notes from Creation Records boss Alan McGee and journalist Hamish MacBain.

Initially, the band struggled to capture their on-stage energy in the recordings at Monnow Valley Studios. These initial recordings were deemed too technical and polished, so the band moved to Sawmills Studios in Cornwall to re-record the album, resulting in the definitive Definitely Maybe album.

The Definitely Maybe (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) album is available for pre-order in Limited-Edition Deluxe 4LP and Deluxe 2CD formats, as well as exclusive colored vinyl inspired by the lyrics.
The release date is set for August 30, and the album will also be available on Limited-Edition blue cassette and digital formats.

All formats will include the 2014 remastered version of the album.  Oasis teased the new release earlier this week on their social media channels, including a short video of Sawmills Studio, where much of the album was recorded. While fans have been hoping for an Oasis reunion for the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe, instead, Liam will be touring and playing songs from the album, with original Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs joining him on stage.
